It takes a Village to raise a Child

CHILDREN'S LEARNING VILLAGE
We are a small, warm Learning Community for children aged 4 to 10, open Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm.

we create and hold a space...

We focus on setting up learning environments and resources to empower our students to learn naturally, autonomous and self-directed.

...in which children find their purpose...

We expose our students to different activities, professions and ideas, and reflect with them how they feel whilst doing them.

...and we train them skills to succeed.

We individually train the key hard skills needed to succeed in about any job: English, Maths, Computer

Testimonials

After trying several schools in Zanzibar, I finally found the perfect fit for my son. He is truly thriving thanks to the personal attention, the play-based learning approach, and the space the school provides for children to grow—both physically and emotionally.

We absolutely love the teachers. The combination of local and international staff creates a warm, diverse, and enriching environment. I can see that my son has found wonderful role models, enjoys learning, and goes to school each day with enthusiasm. He comes home happily tired, full of stories and new experiences.

As a parent, I’m also a big fan of the school bus service, the breakfast provided at school, and the school hours. Knowing that my son is happy, well cared for, and excited to learn gives me real peace of mind and allows me to focus on running my business with confidence.

"For us, this place has literally changed our whole lives. For the better. The class clown became a talented student, mistakes became lessons, and many tears and feelings of not being good enough turned into a sense of belonging and pride in being special. Finally, my son is learning what he really needs for his future life and is being encouraged to develop his talents instead of just following a dull curriculum." Translated from German

„My children's new learning environment has completely changed my perspective on education. Having grown up in a traditional learning system, I was truly impressed by the this practical approach to teaching. Instead of focusing solely on theory, students engage in hands-on activities that prepare them for the modern job market. They learn how to grow and prepare food, practice programming, manage basic accounting, and develop financial literacy skills. This approach provides an excellent foundation for young people, equipping them with essential life skills and the ability to adapt to real-world challenges..”
